Dog Trainer & Writer

K9 of Mine is looking for experienced dog trainers who can share their knowledge with our readers.

Your mission? To help educate owners on how to better care for their dogs and train them with compassion.

Benefits:

  • Flexible contract work – work whenever you want from home, with weekly deadlines. New writers can expect 1-2 articles per week, with potential for more assignments as well as flexible deadlines.
  • Competitive rates – Pay is .05 – .06 cents per word depending on dog training experience, qualifications and certifications, and writing skills. Higher pay may be an option depending on experience. Our articles are generally 1.5 – 2.5k words long, so you’re looking at $50 – $150 per article.
  • Work with an experienced remote team, with editors who can help you improve your writing craft.
  • Extensive writing guidelines, examples, and templates will be provided.
  • Get a killer byline – Work for one of the top dog care sites on the web, with your byline included on all your articles.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a dog trainer
  • Some kind of dog training certification(s) demonstrating your knowledge
  • Must be compassion-based trainer with a focus on positive reinforcement

Content Writer

K9 of Mine is looking for writers who can help us expand our editorial section!

Our writers cover a variety of article topics, from reviewing the best dog gear products to answering behavior questions. If you’re a skilled writer who owns a dog (or even just loves dogs), this could be for you!

Benefits:

  • Flexible contract work – work whenever you want from home, with weekly deadlines. New writers can expect 1-2 articles per week, with potential for more assignments as well as flexible deadlines.
  • Competitive freelance rate – Pay is .03 – .06 cents per word depending on experience, qualifications, and expertise (certified trainers, groomers, or other industry specialists are on the higher end of that scale). Our articles are generally 1.5 – 2.5k words long, so you’re looking at $50 – $150 per article.
  • Work with an experienced remote team, with editors who can help you improve your craft.
  • Extensive writing guidelines, examples, and templates will be provided.

  • Breed Guides (Discuss different types of Dachshunds, what colors Labrador Retrievers come in, etc)
  • Training / Adoption Guides (if you have relevant experience or expertise)

YouTube Video Creator

K9 of Mine is looking for videographers and YouTubers who can help us expand our YouTube channel!

We’re relatively new to YouTube but looking to build things out quickly! If you have experience making videos about crafting DIY dog gear or dog training, this could be the job for you!

Benefits:

  • Flexible contract work – work whenever you want from home, with flexible weekly deadlines.
  • Reliable rate – $50 per video (5 minutes or less – longer, more in-depth videos can earn more).

Types of Videos We’re Looking For:

  • Product Reviews. Unboxing videos of popular dog gear, with reviews comparing various products.
  • DIY Guides. DIY videos demonstrating how to make dog toys, how to trim your dog’s nails, etc.
  • Training Guides. If you’re a trainer, we’re looking for videos discussing dog behavior issues or training-related questions.
  • & More! We’re still new to this YouTube game, so if you have suggestions for videos, we’re all ears and open to your input.
